A happy walk revisiting old haunts lead by the Leaderene. Beautiful bluebells & great pub.

Train: Euston 9.24, Tring 9.58

Car: Many routes! The AA recommends A41, take the exit to Tring and Northchurch. Continue on B4635 towards Tring. After ¾ mile, at outskirts of Tring turn sharp right onto Station Road. The car park is beyond the station, on the right.

Station Car Park £8.50. Not easy to park nearby.

Route: 

am We take the Ridgeway over Pitstone Hill, then turn south Past Clipper Down past Moneybury Hill and into Aldbury

pm Aldbury Common, Chiltern Way, Tom’s Hill, Newground Road and along the Grand Union Canal back to Tring Station.

Lunch: 

The Valiant Trooper. Bar snacks and main meals available in the bar and garden.

Notes: 

The Chilterns are not called hills for nothing, but there are no steep ascents and few stiles. Maybe the blue bells will still be out
