Or Catch the same train at Ealing Broadway, where it departs at 09.26

In either case there is a one change at Maidenhead for Cookham,

The Freedom Pass takes you out as far as Maidenhead. Return ticket to Cookham (cost £4 return) Purchase in advance if you can.

Route: 

A somewhat shorter walk than usual with daylight hours reducing. We will walk around Cookham towards Marlow partly along the Thames Path but then in open countryside, through commons and woodland for lunch around 1.0p.m., at the Jolly Farmer P.H. at Cookham Dean.
After lunch the direct walk back to the station is less than 2 miles. However it wouldbe possible to explore Cookham individually after lunch. There is a special summer exhibition on at the Stanley Spencer Gallery, Stanley Spencer and the Cookham Regatta. The gallery is (about 1.5 miles from the station-through the village) The exhibition will be open –until 1630 hrs. Individuals can select their own train back to London to suit. Maps of the villages will be available for those who wish one.

The route is generally easy walking but with some long inclines. If there is rain parts of the walk might get a bit muddy.
