Travel: 

Out by Central line. From Shepherd’s Bush to Epping takes pprox 1 hour;

Back from Chingford Station ( London Overground) via Walthamstow (Victoria Line) and Oxford Circus (Central line ) for return to Shepherd’s Bush, again approx 1 hour. is.

As it is a linear walk we do not recommend driving. If you plan to make your own way there - please let Follett know and he will advise you on parking.

Route: 

Undulating with three short steeper slopes. Good made up paths so expected fairly dry underfoot. We shall walk from Epping Station (Central Line) in the north, through the forest and ending up at Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge close by Chingford Station (London Overground) in the south.

The Kings Oak Hotel, Paul’s Nursery Road, Waltham Abbey, Loughton, London IG10 4AE.

Space reserved inside, usual pub menu including Sunday Roasts, see web site (info@kingsoakhotel.com ) No pre-ordering is needed. Outside tables available for drinks and for a Café alternative menu. Dogs allowed outside. Please advise if you prefer to eat outside so inside reservation can be confirmed for correct numbers.
