Hever to Penshurst via The Castle Inn Chiddingstone. A linear walk. -

A huge big thankyou to our leader Bronwyn who gallantly lead three Slow Laners through the beautiful sunny Kentish countryside on Wednesday. Walkers stroll past us with nods and smiles. Our lunchtime destination was the charming olde worldly National Trust village of Chiddingstone where white roses billow in abundance over and around the old church grey stone wall and door.
The 15th Century Castle Inn's flower filled garden our welcomed lunch spot. Then onwards through fields of sheep, broad beans and freshly cut neatly stacked rows of grass for 'hay making' I believe, to Penshurst Station in good time for the journey home. A really lovely slow lane
day.
