Clandon to Hatchland

This walk was excactly 'what it said on the tin'. A leissurely walk in spring sunshine We found swathe of bluebells within dappalled woods of burgeoning spring trees in their glorious spring outfits. A slight hiccup in map reading lead us to a diiferent pub - leaders mistake- which was excellent with a short walk back to the sation

AND we heard a nightingale and found 4 leaved clovers

Route:

This is a circular walk from Clandon towards Hatchlands in the Ripley direction, through woods and open fields, some ups and downs but nothing serious circling round Hatchlands park (which has magnificent bluebell woods) to East Clandon where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we cross a golf course back to the station

Lunch:

The Onslow Arms Good standard pub food

Notes:

Note Hatchlands is a national trust house so bring membership cards please but I don’t think we need to pay for the park (I have never done so in the past)

This should be a leisurely walk enabling us all to take in the burgeoning spring countryside, consistent with my convalescent state. I ask you to bear with me
