Thames Path to Windsor,

It has oft been heard that the London Walking Group has a special arrangement with the rain gods as we never seemed to be affected by rain. Well the rain gods overheard this and obviously felt annoyed by our presumption and brought their powers to bear on this walk
12 good folk set out from Staines station with optimism in their step. All went well for awhile with lovely views of old Staines and Runnymede and Old Father Thames and then the gods reeked their revenge and it RAINED. 12 not quite so happy people arrived at Datchet, fell into a very jolly pub who cared for us admirably but despite this solicitude there were no volunteers to complete the walk and 12 people caught the train back to London dreaming of hot baths etc
